Mr. Levitt has been involved with the construction industry since 1997. He is a licensed general contractor in the state of California. He has a complete understanding of the ground-up construction process in both the residential and commercial industries. It is extremely rare to find an attorney who has practical experience in construction and can relate to your needs as a client and contractor. Mr. Levitt has drafted, revised, and or reviewed over $4B in construction contracts since 2003. He is intimately familiar with all AIA forms, AGS, as well as those used by many of the developers, REITs and pension funds. Mr. Levitt also has reviewed and drafted countless Request for Bid packages, evaluating and bringing to the attention of his clients items of concern. Mr. Levitt also represents developers in general contractor contract negotiations as well as all other facets of a developer's business. Mechanics lien laws, foreclosure proceedings, stop-notices and other instruments are essential tools to contractors and potential pitfalls to owners and developers.
